think about it:
if you call out everything someone says-
'o you don't really like me'
'o you couldn't have done that'
'o you're not that talented'
what reason do they have to tell the truth,
and if they do, what reason do I have to believe it?
but if there's not disbelief, perhaps to gullible,
and even if it's not true, you can just answer
'I believed you'
and unless you're dealing with some hardened ass
or a pathological liar or something
